Just my 2 cents: It seems highly likely, from your description, that your
file system was corrupted before you started the Entourage archive run; this
is what caused Entourage to hang. That you had to restart the Finder, then
repair things with your disk, seems also to point in that direction. I
seriously doubt the problem _originated_ with Entourage, although we might
say that Entourage could have done a better job of detecting a problem and
exiting gracefully.
