Again, this is backwards. Smile just _has_ been updated to take advantage of new AppleScript features. That's why scripts saved in Smile 2.6.5 - which also has to work in both Jaguar and Panther - no longer saves properties in scripts run in its own script menu in Panther! Apparently it would have been very difficult - and very possibly buggy - to have conditional code. This has been a recent topic on Smile's own mailing list. (Smile's creator, Emmanuel Levy, is still in Jaguar most of the time). I suppose by the time we get to about OS 10.5 support for Jaguar will be dropped and the new APIs for script menus used. By then Entourage might drop support for 10.2 too.
