Did it with no problem, except group email addresses, which it suggested I put into a notes field. I created new rules and folders, and deleted the old ones. No joy. Now some of the new rules don't work - items are coming into my inbox. When I recheck the rule, it is fine, and if I add another filter for the same email message, it shows up the same way. Still doesn't filter it. Also, my main incoming client rule is now making messages disappear. I can find none of the messages in any of my folders. I am checking every single folder, and my clients/prospects are disappearing! This is making matters much worse. I am sending messages to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and filtering by "any to" recipient. When I send a test message to that address, it disappears completely and cannot be found. Aaaaargh! I can see the test message come in via the progress window, but then cannot locate it anywhere. Even though the RULE says they are being sent to the "clients" file, they do not appear. Seems I've made matters worse. Now all the new clients coming in off my web site are disappearing into the ether. You can understand how this can be unsettling. I'm not sure what to do now. I'm going to try a rebuild again, then perhaps trash all the folders and rules relating to clients and try again. Next option is to probably trash the entire Users folder and start from scratch. Yikes! That would mean hundreds of lost filters and email addresses in those rules from long past clients. Since I get about 400 emails a day, these past clients are likely to get lost. Seems like my situation is unique. Haven't seen a similar problem referred to in the X archives. Perhaps this is a new bug (ahem. I meant "undocumented feature") related to '04?
