I upgraded and for the most part everything went well. I did notice a few minor things.
First, there doesn't appear to be a way to upgrade by replacement so be prepared to have both Office X and 2004 installed on your machine. Second, I used to be able to type Shift, Cmd "V" to get the paste special menu in Excel, but that went away. Now just straight Cmd V will paste Unformatted text into Excel. As for Entourage I suggest reading the following document: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.aspx?pid=download&location=/mac/D OWNLOAD/office2004/WorkingWithExchange.xml In it you will find 25 "known issues" regarding Entourage and Exchange. If you don't have Exchange then these issues will be of far less concern. Also, check out: http://www.entourage.mvps.org/index.html For more info on Entourage. Also keep in mind that I keep my MacOS fully patched so if you are behind in your patching, you may get different outcomes. Speaking of patching, remember to always patch Office, see: http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.aspx#Office2004 Good Luck -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of revDAVE Sent: Thursday, October 21, 2004 9:44 AM To: Entourage:mac Talk Subject: Upgrading to Microsoft Office 2004 Before I upgrade to Microsoft Office 2004, I'd like to find out if people who have made the move, are happy with it.
