I missed the beginning of this thread. If you're looking for archiving options, you should also look to Entourage Email Archive. It's actually quite good. And the developer says that the next version (to be out by the end of the year) will allow attachments to be stored in the FileMaker database (you can either archive into a supplied FileMaker database, or in Finder-based files and folders).
