I will admit that I didn't especially expect a response to this email, but I'll also admit that it's disappointing I didn't receive one, not least because it's clear JMF is not working in the manner stated by MS representatives right here on this list this week. I'll give you the scenario again. I have multiple POP accounts coming into Entourage 2004. Several of them receive in excess of 100 real emails (as opposed to junk) per day. Because of this, and because of the distinct nature of the accounts, I used a pair of rules to divert anything which goes to several of these accounts to two special folders, and I use these as separate "inboxes". The problem is that the Junk Mail Filter does not work on those folders at all. Not "just a little", but at all. And I can check these accounts from the server through my web-based interface and count the number of spam messages in those accounts and then count what shows up in Entourage to confirm this (contrary to what Paul indicated above about the "Low" level of protection), that in fact the JMF doesn't work on those folders AT ALL. Just to try to follow counsel as well as possible, I *did* do as Paul (somewhat derisively) suggested and raised the level of protection to "High". This did result (as I said it would, and as it has done in the past) in my losing a lot more "real" emails to the junk folder. It added no protection to my main inbox (which was getting excellent coverage from the "Low" setting already), and it also failed to add even the slightest extra coverage to the added folders. JMF does not work on them at all. So once again, the question is why this is so and what I can do about it. And if, as was suggested earlier, that maybe diverting these accounts to their folders by using the Mailing List Manager instead would help, how can I set that up where it will divert *everything* from the specified accounts -- but nothing else!!! -- to the proper folders, since these are POP accounts, not lists? I'm frustrated, but I do appreciate everyone's help.
