Thanks, Diane, but it isn't a srever-specific issue, since that same account behaves normally in Eudora as well as in OS X Mail. I tested that out yesterday. It only spits duplicates in Entourage, and only on this one account.
I do use Online Access in Entourage all the time and removing all messages from the server only works until new mail arrives, when it then starts duplicating again. I always leave all mail on the server for 2 days. If I recall correctly, this problem started around the time the Junk Mail filter was updated so I am wondering if that has anything to do with it. Seems odd that more than one of us would be reporting the exact same issue that started at about the same time. If I could reproduce the problem in any other mail client, I'd write it off as a server glitch, but when only Entourage is affected and even in a brand new identity, it only makes sense to look to Entourage as the source of the problem.
