As for your database, there is no max size (other than the free space on your hard drive). If you’re concerned about it, hold down option while launching Entourage and select “compact database” from the Database Utility.
I do that regularly; I know that to bring it back under the 3.8 GB that it compacts to, I need to remove messages and attachments besides compacting it. :-) The old 2GB limit used to be a daily challenge (I’m a hopeless pack rat), and I didn’t want to ignore any “new” maximum limits. Thanks for confirming that there is no such beast.
