I finally Installed Office 2004 and SP2 -- Thanks EVERYONE for your
support:)

The Install and Updater went SMOOTHLY! I repaired the Permissions Before and
After Install, and again after the Restart.. All my Accounts are POP...

I chose to keep Office X for a couple of days, and then I'd need to Remove
it... What's the PROPER WAY to do that?

Do I run the Installer CD, and use the Set Up Assistant to Remove Office X,
or do I just drag Microsoft Office X Folder to Trash?!

Here is a Q's that came up right away --

In some messages, I've noticed that I need to Manually Download Pictures in
Complex HTML Messages, where as under Entourage X, the same messages were
displayed with Pictures automatically, and the Senders were not in my
Address Book...

So, I looked at Preferences....

In General Preferences, under Security, I checked off ALL BOXES, including
the bottom one - Automatically Download Pictures from my Address Book
Contacts...

The way I understand it is that the next time I get another Complex HTML
message from the same Contact, it'll be displayed with the pictures, because
I have added that Contact to my Address Book, but...

I don't understand this wording in that General Preferences --

"To protect your privacy, Entourage will not download pictures...."

It seems that word PRIVACY that context implies either that

A) whenever I download, and thus DISPLAY an image in a Complex HTML Message,
a feedback is sent to Sender or

B) Entourage assumes that I am sitting at a desk in an office, and I can
download/display pictures manually, so that my co-workers don't see those
pictures:):):)............

Well... Since I am not at concerned about co-workers...

IS IT POSSIBLE TO SET THIS ENTOURAGE 2004, SP2 TO DOWNLOAD/DISPLAY ALL
PICTURES FROM ALL SENDERS AUTOMATICALLY, WHETHER THEY ARE OR NOT IN MY
ADDRESS BOOK?!

OR DO I HAVE TO ADD THOSE SENDERS TO MY ADDRESS BOOK, AND NEXT TIME THE
PICTURES WOULD BE DISPLAYED AUTOMATICALLY?!

I've pasted " To protect your privacy, Entourage will not download
pictures" into the Search Box at http://www.entourage.mvps.org/ and nothing
came up... BTW - WHAT A FANTASTIC SITE!!!! Bravo to whomever runs it!

CHANGES I'VE NOTICED --

I don't know if these changes are covered at that site, but I figured them
out on my own:

#1 I've noticed that Keyboard Command for Paste Special/Paste As Quotation

Command-Shift-V is not working... But it did work FLAWLESSLY in Office X...

Then, I realized that this Shortcut was changed to Command-Control-V

#2 - The Gmail Accounts (all POP) were working fine under Entourage X, but
under 2004 they are strange... Then I figured out that Sending Port is 587
instead of 465/which is what it was in Entourage X... And ALL IS FINE:)

BTW, 2 years ago, when I first got my Office X, in Entourage there was a
WEIRD BUG(?) --

The Apple Symbol • (Command-Option-K) was recognized by Spell Checker as a
TYPO... At that time Entourage Identity was an Import from Outlook Express
from OS9.0.4, being brought over to a new Powerbook17, under OS10.2.7

All advice that I got from this list couldn't solve that issue [Rebuilding
Database, Trashing the Dictionary, Reinstalling Office X, Reinstall and
Archive of OS, Repairing Permissions etc].

So I learned to Click Ignore in Spell Checker, and it would be OK until I
Quit Entourage, and then I'd have to Click Ignore after I Restarted
Entourage again...

That Bug(?) was effecting Entourage ONLY, and not the rest of the Office

Now, with this Entourage 2004, that BUG(?), if that what it was is GONE!!!
(knock on wood)... Maybe it has something to do with Office 2004 being
Unicode compliant?!?!?

Other than that -- VERY HAPPY WITH THIS INSTALL...

Thanks AGAIN everyone for your help!
