Use the 'remove office' tool in Office 2004 - this will let you select which version of office you want to remove. It will not touch the data in your MUD folder. > > Here is a Q's that came up right away -- > > In some messages, I've noticed that I need to Manually Download Pictures in > Complex HTML Messages, where as under Entourage X, the same messages were > displayed with Pictures automatically, and the Senders were not in my > Address Book... A new security feature in Entourage 2004 blocks the display of pictures (and other linked mail content) hosted on remote sites. Images can be loaded for individual messages by clicking on the Download Pictures¹ link in the yellow message status bar. This was a huge feature request from users that found the all embracing All Pictures¹ or No Pictures¹ too limiting. There is a setting in the security section of the preferences to automatically download pictures from recipients who are in your address book. That should suffice for most users. If you really want to download all images from all sources, you can put ".com", ".net", ".org" etc to your list of safe domains in the Junk Mail Protection dialog. Then, images from all untrustworthy sources will be downloaded. > > So, I looked at Preferences.... > > In General Preferences, under Security, I checked off ALL BOXES, including > the bottom one - Automatically Download Pictures from my Address Book > Contacts... > > The way I understand it is that the next time I get another Complex HTML > message from the same Contact, it'll be displayed with the pictures, because > I have added that Contact to my Address Book, but... > > I don't understand this wording in that General Preferences -- > > "To protect your privacy, Entourage will not download pictures...." > > It seems that word PRIVACY that context implies either that > > A) whenever I download, and thus DISPLAY an image in a Complex HTML Message, > a feedback is sent to Sender or Not exactly - it _can_ be set up so that retrieving these images can indicate to a spammer that your email address is active. Please don't shout. Your question is answered above, but I wouldn't advise doing this. > > I've pasted " To protect your privacy, Entourage will not download > pictures" into the Search Box at http://www.entourage.mvps.org/ and nothing > came up... BTW - WHAT A FANTASTIC SITE!!!! Bravo to whomever runs it! Primarily, Diane Ross, one of the MVPs. Diane is not in the best of health, and the site has not yet been fully updated to take account of every new feature in 2004. > > CHANGES I'VE NOTICED -- > > I don't know if these changes are covered at that site, but I figured them > out on my own: > > #1 I've noticed that Keyboard Command for Paste Special/Paste As Quotation > > Command-Shift-V is not working...
