Your Exchange database doesn't contain categories, E'rage tasks, or E'rage notes. Furthermore, it contains none of the metadata that E'rage uses. Note also that it doesn't contain a perfect replication of *Outlook* metadata either, no matter what you may say. > >>> One of these days I'd like to hear the real reason why Entourage lacks MAPI. >> >> Plain and simple, Entourage was initially designed to not be Outlook. You don't really know how Entourage or DAV works do you? I'm guessing that's the only reason for your statement. First, to imply that such an unholy, evil, spaghetti pile of nastiness like MAPI is somehow more secure than DAV is, to wit, silly. In fact, MAPI is MUCH harder to lock down than DAV is. DAV is just way of using HTTP to get the same thing done. Note please that Outlook 2003 supports DAV and OWA just fine, just like Entourage. DAV/OWA are very easy to secure, and much simpler to administrate. If all you understand is MAPI, fine, but that doesn't make any of your claims correct. -- Socks should match your pants, and your belt should match your shoes.
