1) Entourage does not run on Windows PCs. PC executables do not run on Macs.

2) If you do not click "Download pictures" - or more rigorously uncheck
"Display complex HTML in messages" so you're not even offered the option -
HTML messages do not "call home" - can't.

3) In the very rare case that you have a corrupt message trying to download
and crashing Entourage (usually on startup) you need to launch holding down
Shift key if you have POP account or an IMAP/Exchange account that downloads
complete messages. Yes, then you should turn off Preview Pane before
selecting and deleting the corrupt message. For the once-a-year occurrence,
you hardly need to keep Preview Pane permanently off. In fact, keeping it on
is what will let you isolate which message is the corrupt one.
