I don't use the new Spotlight support in Entourage a lot (I'm a very meticulous filer and generally know where to find a message). But it comes in very handy sometimes. Today I noticed that I wasn't getting any Entourage messages in Spotlight searches. I looked in Entourage's preferences and the Spotlight option is gone altogether. The mdimporter plugin is still there at /Library/Spotlight/Microsoft Office.mdimporter. I tried dumping both com.microsoft.entourage.plist preference files (the one in Preferences, and the one in Preferences/Microsoft), tried deleting the cache folder ~/Library/Caches/Metadata and restarting the computer. So far, it's still missing.
