I use Synchronize! Pro X to keep my contacts/calendar/email (Entourage
database) in synch on my desktop and laptop Macs. I'm very careful to
perform the synchronization each time I leave home and each time I return,
and because the database daemon changes file modification date/time for the
Entourage database, I don't use Office Notifications :-(

Yesterday I discovered that launching MS Word also launches the database
daemon, and of course this resets the Entourage Database file modification
flag.

Is there ANY reason this must be the case? Is there anyone in the MS Mac
business unit to whom I can plead my case regarding this design?
