Title: The user's folder could not be found.

Everything else works fine: name resolution from the Global Address List, Public folders, etc. etc.
But when an Entourage user in our enterprise tries to open an "Other User's Folder," whether it be Mailbox, Calendar, or whatever, we get the above error message.

The Other User is sharing both their Mailbox (Items Visible) and Calendar (Publishing Editor permissions).

We enter for example an ID "DOEJQ" (and we can view the mailbox entry in Find), Entourage comes back with "Entourage could not find a mailbox for the user Doe, Jane Q."

  • Entourage patched to 11.2.4 on both workstations.
  • MS Exchange 2003 servers. Mac OS X 10.4.6 and 10.3.9.  Active Directory enterprise.
  • We have tested on users on different mail servers, and with both users on the same server.
  • Search Base is optimized DC=ourcompany,DC=net .
  • I can add a user's ID into "Users I am a Delegate For" and an empty link appears in my folder list but still will not show Calendar or any sub-item he has delegated to me.
  • We can open other users' folders all day long in Outlook, whether the permissions were set up in Outlook or in Entourage on the other user account.

I am thinking there is a "Gotcha" setting on our Exchange servers that we need to switch.

Thanks for your ears!
