You very likely won't have any luck upgrading a database that can't be
opened by the previous version.

Interesting idea. I don't think I can do that, because I can't get into
Entourage X to delete the email in the first place, as opening Entourage
immediately prompts for a database rebuild.

Just upgraded from Office X to 2004, and noted that the majority of my mail
wasn't imported, nor were my calendars or contacts.
Any ideas as to what I might do to put this right?!
Opening Entourage X immediately prompts for a database compact, which
obviously I do... but still 2004 only imports maybe 3% of the mailbox.
Would trying to import the mailboxes into Mail.app from Entourage X, then
from Mail.app to Entourage 2004 work?
Hi Andy,
I had a similar problem going from Outlook to Entourage and ended up
splitting up my mail database - I made two copies of the whole identity
folder and renamed them, the deleted half the mail from one, and the other
half from the other, and imported each identity (choosing to import mail
only, not settings, accounts, etc.). You might try a variation of this
approach to see if it solves your problem.
I hope this helps...
