Do you have any shared Projects stored on servers (especially on an iDisk)? That could do it. Or maybe it's something (else) to do with Spotlight. Did someone already ask you if you had added Office 2004 Identities folder (in the Microsoft User Data folder) to the Privacy pane in System Preferences/Spotlight? (If you haven't, do so.) Do you have Spotlight Preferences checked in Entourage' own prefs? That shouldn't cause this problem (doesn't for me), but perhaps there's some big revision/update going on at those times.
