Just for the beginners out there, the preferences are in Hard
Drive/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/ I recently had an
issue with Remote Desktop Connection client not launching and it was a
corrupt preference.
The Console is an application in HardDrive/Applications/Utilities/
Also my $0.02 about the crashing is that it's bad hardware. Besides Disk
Utility does anything else run properly? Do you have any fonts loaded that
you could try removing, I know Adobe apps can often choke on a corrupt font.
