I hadn't when I got your message, as I was pretty sure it would be fine in another user -- I am pretty sure the problem is isolated to just this Entourage, as Shift h works in every other app on my Mac. But, to test, I did log in as the other user and am happy to have shift h there -- but I can't stay logged in as that user! :-) So, let's see: No Shift h, but Caps Lock H works fine. Shift h produces nothing with a single tap of h, but if you hold it down the text cursor becomes a solid arrow pointer and then multiple repeating hs show up. If I am in the "to" field when I try to type a Shift h, the name field deactivates as if I'd hit return instead. Shift h works in every other app on my Mac (including other mail apps *and* other Microsoft Office apps). Shift h does not work in Entourage with a different keyboard. This lack of shift h remains despite repeated reboots of the computer, a Safe Boot, a compact of the Entourage database, and a five-hour Repair of the database (done on two different days). Dumping every Entourage pref I could find did not help. Thank you, Lew and Mark; does anyone have any other suggestions? It appears that my shift h is mapped to something else in Entourage, but I can't figure out how to undo it. No QuicKeys installed, and I looked in the Universal Access pref pane in Mac OS to make sure that it hadn't been mapped there to something else. Mac OS X 10.3.9, Entourage 11.0.0. (I tried to update, but the assistant failed with an Application Not Responding -- so my questions on what to do with that remain, as well.) ~Linda -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
