That's not quite what he wants. He wants a custom view (not a single folder)
to include messages from all folders of a particular category.

The long workaround for now is to make the custom view (Items: Messages,
Location: All folders) criteria match "if ANY criteria are met" and then add
as many criteria as necessary, each one for <Folder> <Is > <Choose
folder...> and then go through all the folders of the correct color one by
one. A bit tedious, but you get there. You have to add more if you add more
folders of this category.
