I just took a look at their web site, and while they don't say how it works, they do admit that a text based mail reader will not work.
>From this, I would guess they are using web-bugs to track receipt (<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_bug>), in which case Entourage 2004 is safe - it will not automatically download web attachments unless the sender is in your address book AND you have set the preference to allow this.
