On the suggestion of a list member I tried using the OS print dialog to
create a PDF of the message and open the resulting PDF to see if it took
care of the size issue.  That didn't seem to make much difference.

However, one thing that I did notice is some small type at the top of the
page.  It's way up at the top in very small light gray letters, like some
sort of a page header.

The following piece of text was justified left:

mhtmlmain:

Another piece was justified right:

3/9/07 2:55 PM

That's the date and time I made it into a pdf

Same sort of text appears at the top when I print it.

Could "mhtmlmain:" be a clue?
