Remo, thanks for your help. Placing the 'Company' name in the 'First' or
'Last' name field is a workaround, and a programme of Entourage's stature
should require workarounds. I count the fact that, in the absence of a
contact name, Entourage places the company name in the 'Name' field, but
then doesn't use it when the list is sorted by 'Name', as a bug. I will
report it.
