I¹m supporting a coworker on Entourage who is checking mail with two
accounts checking different POP boxes.. Let¹s call them account x and y.

X is the default account.

I have set up a rule that says mail from account y goes into the y folder.
There are no other active rules.

That works swimmingly for all mail addressed to either x or y as the only
recipients. Mail to X goes in the In box, and mail for y goes in the y
folder.

The problem is if a message is sent to both x and y, meaning it has multiple
recipients including x and y. Entourage is getting the identical message
from both the x and y POP boxes and placing them in the In box. You would
think that all messages from the y POP box would go into the y folder
according to the rule, but as far as I can tell it doesn¹t work that way.

I¹ve tried a number of variations on the same theme of getting messages with
x and y in the To: field to be routed to the correct folders, but nothing
seems to work. As Entourage is checking two mailboxes with identical
messages for both x and y, it seems like Entourage thinks the best thing to
do is put them both in the In box.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards,
Todd
