I have been searching without luck for the trick to turning on Spotlight for Entourage. I've found several great articles about how it works, for example here:
http://www.entourage.mvps.org/syncservices/spotlight_basics.html But all the articles I've found just mention "When you enable Spotlight indexing within Entourage" or something similar without actually saying how one would go about doing this. Entourage help says: To search in Spotlight, you must have Mac OS X version 10.4 or later and set Spotlight preferences. 1. On the Entourage menu, click Preferences. 2. Under General Preferences, click Spotlight. 3. Select the Include Entourage items in Spotlight search results check box. 4. Click OK. But I do not see 'Spotlight' under General Prefs, it seems to be missing for me. I am using Entourage 2004, v 11.3.3, MBP running 10.4.10. When I look in ~ Library/Caches/Metadata/Microsoft folder I see an Entourage folder and within that a 2004 folder, but no cache files. In Sync Services I have Synchronize events and tasks selected (and everything seems to be working fine with my iCal and Entourage). Neither of the other two options on that page seem relevant to me. So I am completely at a loss. Is there any way to get this working? ------------------------------------------- Bob Virzi -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
