It means at least one character used in the email is from the Unicode
character set rather than from ASCII. Some email programs can't handle
Unicode; those people will likely see an underscore or a question mark or
similar substituted character in place of that character.

You only see it when there's such a character in the email.

What ever happened with your computer freeze? I posted a list of questions
