1. Not sure what you mean... Flags are all over the app now.
 2. They are no longer on the list-this was to be consistent with Outlook and
a reflection of usability testing we found as flagging is now a more prominent,
richer feature than it was in 2004 (e.g. you can assign dates to flags).
 3. You can bump down the list font... I think the 2008 rows are, on average,
1px taller per row than 2004.
 4. Here's the deal with fonts:

2004, all fonts were pixels in size.
2008, fonts for rendering items (e.g. Message fonts) are in points. Fonts for
UI display (e.g. List fonts) are in pixels. Yeah, it's confusing, but it's
aimed at better x-platform reliability in sizing on other e-mail clients.

For example, if you send a 9px font to Windows, that's awfully small on Windows
(which typically runs at a higher dpi than the Mac OS). But if you sent 9pt,
it's pretty much the same readable size on both screens. So what you're seeing
is Entourage rendering at 9pt not 9px, which, from what you're saying, sounds
like what you expected. The UI is very confusing about this change, but it's
aimed to be a much more consistent rendering experience. Of course, that
matters less with plain-text, but again, the general aim is to move to a
resolution independent rendering (with points) and leave behind our pixel-based
legacy.

5) If you can diagnosis exactly where in the TCP flow things are slower than
you'd expect, that'd be very helpful for us.

6) We now use the System Alert Volume, so sounds in Entourage are consistent
with other alert sounds across the OS. You can modify the level in the System
Preferences/Sound.

I hope some of you can help me though this

1) flags, where are they?

2) I used to see a flag next to a folder that had flags in that folder, this
was something everyone I know relied on, I do not see them anymore.

3) The folder list, it is vertically huge, I have 20 or so folders, a large
display, and I have to scroll through my folders now?

4) Fonts, yeah, wtf? I wrote this

Fine, I can live with it, now, there is NO relation to font sizes at all. I
set my plain text font to 9pt, and it is somewhere around 12 pt. Aliased no
less. Entourage now is the single and only app on OS X that can not do
anti-aliased fonts.

View source on a message, you get a whopping 12 pt font as well.

So past versions used WASTE to render fonts, I was waiting and waiting for
this rewrite to get native text rendering in OS X. Please tell me I am
missing something, why is there even a font size preference if I set it to
9th and I get something else.

There is a monospaced font that is rather nice that comes with Office, what
good is that font for?

5) pop login is still slow, I run a email server, so I can see just how long
pop logins tie up the server. I can guess how many Entourage users there
are by looking at pop server load.

6) Can we get a sound level slider so the volume levels are not left of to
what a developer considers too quiet or too loud?

* Whats it take to get on the E-rage beta, I have asked year and year again,
even going through some rather higher level channels, and no reply. The
above issues are flat out regressions, what is going on, where is this magic
pref I am missing?
