I just got a brand new Mac Pro and it's blistering fast. It's hard to believe that I am still waiting for Entourage to check my POP accounts before I can use it.
I have about twenty POP accounts that I check every 15 minutes. Way back when I was using Mac OS9 (maybe five years ago) Entourage would check all of my pop accounts WITHOUT momentarily freezing my Entourage interface. Ever since switching to OS X I have had to live with this annoying delay every time I check my mail. If I am in the middle of typing a sentence and my mail gets checked it freezes my keyboard entry for a few seconds.
