I sent the message attached below to the Entourage list more than a month ago and there has been no response either from other users or any of the Microsoft folks who follow the list. I've since discovered that others are reporting the same problem with Entourage 2004 and Exchange 2007 servers:

The workaround I describe below does work but is obviously awkward. What is unsettling is that the Exchange server does not sync all received messages with Entourage 2004. I can see certain messages in the inbox folder if I access the account using Outlook Web Access or use Outlook on a Windows machine. But these messages are never delivered to the Entourage inbox folder for the Exchange account. The only way I have been able to get the problematic messages to appear in the inbox folder of Entourage is to use Outlook (or Outlook Web Access) to move the messages to another folder and then move them back to the inbox. Of course, this means I must periodically check the account with Outlook or Outlook Web Access to see whether there are undelivered messages there. My Exchange server administrators have taken a look at these undelivered messages and found that the database of the Exchange server has marked them with a "mapi_e_not_found" error and this apparently prevents Entourage from downloading them. When such messages are moved to another folder, the Exchange server strips off this error message and they can then be downloaded by Entourage. Ironically, one class of messages that have been arriving with these "mapi_e_not_found" errors is the Entourage-Talk digest! Anyone know whether there will be a fix for this problem with Exchange accounts on Entourage?
