I have been using Entourage X all this time.
Having read about the pokiness of E2004, and for me, the deal breaker was
about how E2004 and now E2008 changed to handle threads. I just cannot wrap
my eyes or anything else about the way Entourage changed in this manner. I
have loaded E2004 several times, only to switch back to Ex. What a bummer.
Being on ATT, Ex does not do SSL properly and I am now getting mail from ATT
telling me I don¹t have a secure connection.
I have tried Apple Mail, but honestly, it lacks so many features, like the
ability to have an open message and click on a down or up arrow to move to
the next message, I have given up on that, too. Not to mention without
something like TextSoap I can¹t clean up a badly wrapped message.
Additionally, Apple Mail does not seem to handle IMAP Gmail properly.
I started looking at GyazMail recently and this may be what I switch to. I
certainly like it better than Apple Mail, and I may have to break down and
use TextSoap for the rewrap procedure.
Sure doesn¹t look like I will be switch to E2008 anytime soon.
