Hi, John -- My DB is right around that size. I had some of the symptoms you mention when mine was pushing 10GB. After a successful rebuild, I found that I'd "lost" all messages from two days about a month earlier (March 29 and March 30) -- opening them resulted in bits of gibberish, bits of other messages(!), or the "unable to complete the request" or similarly worded error message. A couple of safe boots and a Disk Warrior later, it seemed more stable, and I quit getting the "DB needs repair" message even after rebuilding it. (My repair/rebuild takes about 8 hours.) During the compress or rebuild stage, when it reports the number of messages, mine says something like 173,000 messages. Mac OS X 10.4.11, Dual 2.0GHz G5. <-- slower computer than yours, probably accounts for the longer repair/rebuild times... -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
