Unless one of the more sage among us has advice to the contrary, my advice would be to have her rebuild that database again. And then let it sit and work at it for a day, until it finishes or gives you an error message as to why it can't. My guess is that it didn't actually stop; there are points at which the progress bar doesn't appear to advance, but you've just got to let it do its thing.
