I was just looking at the park rules and regs, camping is allowed with a permit obtained at the park headquarters. There are designated "primitive" campsites where a fire is allowed, backcountry hiking or canoe camping is also allowed with certain restrictions (no fire, small stoves ok): http://www.nps.gov/cong/planyourvisit/camping-regulations.htm
