Steve and everyone, Thanks for clarifying the species names.
The Tsuga diversifolia does NOT have HWA, sorry for the confusion. The other photos I took with HWA are Tsuga canadensis twigs. I do not believe that the Tanyosho is a dwarf form. But they are pruned so they maintain their form and don't get in each other's way. There's another one nearby with a heavy lower branch that is pulling the tree over because visitors like to sit on it and have their pictures taken. Here are some more pix from the Fall, also included Japanese Chrysanthemum exhibit pix and the Tanyosho with the "bench" branch! http://picasaweb.google.com/JennifDudley/JapaneseFloraNYBG?authkey=Gv1sRgCNfH2eeBvOS1mgE&feat=directlink Thanks, Jenny > > .. > > > > .- Hide quoted text - > > > > - Show quoted text - --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Eastern Native Tree Society http://www.nativetreesociety.org Send email to [email protected] Visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/entstrees?hl=en To unsubscribe send email to [email protected] -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
