After I posted, I had two thoughts...one, if the eyepieces were 'precisely' 
side by side, the accuracy might be better, and two, could two readings (one 
the clino, and two the rangefinder) be positioned apart so that both could be 
looked through simultaneously?  It would be perfect if both optics were the 
same optical power (instead of 1X for clino and 5X for my rangefinder).  Just 
some thoughts...

Yes, they seem to stay securely attached and aligned with the Velcro---if the 
adhesive backing holds up after a lot of separations, I think is will be a good 
system.

ENTS-

I got tired of my rangefinder and clinometer swinging and clunking each other 
on their lanyards, so I attached/combined them using adhesive backed Velcro. I 
seems quite convenient, and makes it easier to spot specific areas of trees 
since both are already in the same plane. I'm sure others have thought of this 
same system, but I don't recall seeing any posts about it.
