Steve- After I posted, I had two thoughts...one, if the eyepieces were 'precisely' side by side, the accuracy might be better, and two, could two readings (one the clino, and two the rangefinder) be positioned apart so that both could be looked through simultaneously? It would be perfect if both optics were the same optical power (instead of 1X for clino and 5X for my rangefinder). Just some thoughts... -don

I guess another way to ask that is, do they stayed "locked in" with velcro? -Don Date: Sun, 19 Jul 2009 16:09:50 -0400 Subject: [ENTS] Combining a rangefinder and clinometer for convenience From: [email protected] To: [email protected] ENTS- I got tired of my rangefinder and clinometer swinging and clunking each other on their lanyards, so I attached/combined them using adhesive backed Velcro. I seems quite convenient, and makes it easier to spot specific areas of trees since both are already in the same plane. I'm sure others have thought of this same system, but I don't recall seeing any posts about it. Steve Windows Live™ Hotmail®: Celebrate the moment with your favorite sports pics.
