Barry,

Actually, you're not as alone as it might seem. When Will Blozan posted
the results of Tsuga Search, a monumental study of great scientific and
documentary importance, there was only a small number who commented. People may
have looked at the report, but the comments didn't reflect it. I could relate a
similar pattern on the tree measuring problems. Just keep posting. Your
contribution fills an important  niche.

Thanks to all members who responded to this.
When I go to the trouble of posting something like my Belleplain SF hike or my
hike through one of our dwarf forests, I find it very surprising when there are
few or no responses. So naturally I get concerned. I know that other people's
posts are responded to sometimes within minutes of them getting posted!
Anyway, thanks.

Barry,

You nailed MY interests exactly. I am into the superlatives, not bog furnaces.
That’s OK. It doesn’t mean your posts and observations are not valuable. I
enjoy the photos you post and your descriptions of your area are valuable. I
won’t say that every time but keep it in mind!

ENTS,

I get the feeling that since my trees are not 130 feet tall, or, they are not
setting new height records, that no one is interested in them.

Aside from Ed Frank and Jenny, and sometimes a couple others, usually no one
responds to my posts. To quote someone from another group I belong to, silence
generally does not encourage one to continue posting.
