We had a bunch of cottonwoods start to turn ~ week and a half ago here
in central Ohio. Seems like cottonwoods on drier sites will drop a
bunch of their leaves in august and then finish up later in october
with the rest of the trees. Ohio buckeyes should be petering out
also, but haven't been around any lately to check.
