Greetings Ents:

Some time ago I thought of an idea for promoting the tallest trees in
Massachusetts that belong for the most part to the absolutely stellar
area of trees within the Mohawk Trail State Forest.
My idea was to call the area the "COMMONWEALTH FOREST". I still
believe it would be a way to draw attention to this incredible
"growing machine" (to use Bob's language) that exemplifies the best
growing conditions and tallest flagship trees we have in Masschusetts.
The Commonwealth Forest would put a focus on this area and hopefully
galvanize support for exemplary tall trees, old growth forest, and
other exemplary areas in the state from DCR, state reps and others.
We could produce a brochure that could be disseminated at MTSF and
other portals.

So..I am wondering what ENTS members think of this idea of designating
this exemplary area in Massachusetts "The Commonwealth Forest"?
