I am late to this post! That must have been something to see those giants. How does this site compare to Mohawk? Is the terrain similar, flat or a floodplain with rich nutrient based soils? If these trees were young and reached these lofty heights maybe "Spruce’s" post "White pine growth rates--something of interest about growth possibilities" could be in the realm of possibility?
