Hm, I guess you only owned L lenses :-D Compared to
all these lenses the focusing ring of the 50/1.4
indeed feels a bit loose. Not too bad but certainly
not as good as with many other high quality lenses.
I am not sure what you mean with the rough coupling.
Do you mean that for the last half of the turn you
need considerable more force then for the first half
of the turn? Actually, a bit more then with some other
lenses. If it's that then it should be ok.
