"Does anyone have an honest opinion of the Canon 24-85 zoom. How does it
compare to the 28-105 or the 28-135 IS in size, weight, and optical quality?

Steve, I have the 24-85 for the EOS IX and is a honest consumer lens with a
range very good for every EOS specially for 135 film. I have too the 28-135
IS lens that is bigger and better but more expensive and a little shorter on
the wide side. My choice will go for this last one, if posible with a 20mm
or a wideangle zoom, but I never used the 28-105.
