I had it once, distortion is very strong between 24 and 28mm, despite that
fact it's
comparable to the others.

About as good as the 28-105 but not as sharp as the 28-135IS. The 24-85
sharpness is good throughout the range but not necessarily stellar.
However, you get 24mm at the short end which may weigh your choice toward
that zoom versus the others.
Have you checked out the tests on Photodo or others? They can help you make
your decision as well.
