My new Elan 7e is also like this, on the very same point!! All the other
points are fine.
It's a little disappointing. One of my top reasons for upgrading from the
Rebel 2000 was the red focus point lights. When in dark settings, I didn't
like how I couldn't see where the focus points were located.
I don't remember if the store display models were also like this.
Hmmm.....
