An update to the debate a while back about how much digital resolution is
required to equal film:

In the October issue of "American Cinematographer", an Eastman Kodak ad
states: "A single frame of film contains over 12 million pixels of
information". The ad appears to be  specifically referring to a 35mm motion
picure frame, which is half of a 35mm still camera frame.
