I just did a search at B&H's and found the 250D in 52mm @ $69 and the 58mm
@ $82.95
The 500D's are available in 52mm @ $69, the 58mm @ 82.95 the 72mm @ $115
and the 77mm @ $134.95
If I was going to take this route, I'd choose the size that fitted my
largest lens and get adapter rings to use it on the smaller lenses.
My choice though, would be to get a macro lens that will shoot at 1:1, the
Canon would be great but the Tamron 90mm 2.8 is less money and is also a
superb macro lens. Second choice would be to get a set of tubes, they are
light, reasonably priced and cause NO degradation in the image. If you have
the macro lens plus the tubes, you can shoot at better than 1:1, with a
50mm macro a regular set of tubes having extensions of 12, 20 and 36 used
together (68mm extension) for example, would give you up to a 2.36:1 ratio.
A lot of fun!
Buddy.
