Thanks everyone that replied, this list has been once again more then 
willing to help.

I did find them @ B&H when I went back, but my reply to the list was 
bounced because I left the footer in the reply.  I don't post often 
enough to remember that stuff.

I am going to get the 500 for now.  My friend can then decide if it's 
worth moving to a 200mm macro for dedicated macro work.
