I don't think there's any difference optically, but the MK 1 has a metal
mount, the II has a plastic one. This tends to keep the price of the Mk
close to or even a little higher than the newer one.
The Mk 1 is so sharp that every time I start to think about buying the 1.4,
I end up talking myself out of it.
