I'm a Rebel S user. I said "humble", didn't I?
I have 3 slow zoom lenses.
I RARELY use the camera's built-in flash indoors - only when
I need to take a point-and-shoot family picture. For instance,
my daughter and son-in-law visited recently and I really wanted
a "snapshot" of them, and it was just too cold to go outside...
If I want a more "interesting" photo indoors, I use tripod, timer
on camera, and faster (print always) film.
The question is as follows:
Would it be ridiculous to consider one of the following 3 USED
flashlights for my camera (humble funds, as well)? Prices are
in Canadian dollars:
Speedlite 160E $34.99
Speedlite 244T $99.99
155A $69.99
=======================
The 160E is barely more powerful than your built-in flash and the other two are not
designed for the Rebel. The 244T and 155A can be used with the Rebel but require
manual settings and don't meter TTL.
However, the 160E is a real "gem" for owners of EOS cameras without built-in flashes
and those desiring a really small flash for macro use (requires shoe-cord). And the
price is good - if you don't purchase it, perhaps you could name the camera store so
another group member could buy it...
