When you buy new electronics the LCDs usually is
covered by a thin, transparent and easy removable
piece of plastic. I would think that this kind of
material could be bought somewhere. If so just stick
it on your CCD. When it gets scratched remove it and
replace it with a new one. If memory serves me right
there is a company that does exactly that for
PalmPilots to protect the screen beeing scratched with
the stylus pen. Just an idea.
