It depends on the job. I use a 70-200L on the D30 to shoot basketball. I
will shoot 300-400 pictures of a game, and only use one to three of the very
best of them. Even if I would have financed the camera, the payment would
be less than my film bill, and my results are immediate.
But I sure would like 7+ frames per second :-) Photojournalism is a HUGE
plus-area for digital cameras.
BTW - I use ezprints (www.ezprints.com) for prints from the D30 or scanned
negs. With Priority Mail shipping (from FL to IN) I get my prints in 2 days
and they have always been OUTSTANDING and an 18 x 24" print on real Kodak
Paper is like $18. My experience with Ofoto was EXACTLY the opposite. They
even reprinted an order... the second batch was worse.
